Autumn in Berwang - the most beautiful time of the year!

Berwang may be at its most beautiful in autumn. The sunlight shines beautifully over mountain peaks, lakes, forests, and the colorful valley. In autumn nature shows itself in its most beautiful form. The walking trails around Berwang take you through forests full of autumn colours. The Rotlechschlucht is a beautiful walk amidst the autumn hues. In addition to walking, you can also go mountain biking or e-biking in autumn. The temperature is pleasant and the paths are quiet. For the experienced walker, a hike to the top of the Thaneller is a magical experience with views of Heiterwangersee and Plansee.

Children also have plenty of activities in Berwang and the Zugspitz Arena during autumn.

On the Mitteregg nature experience path in Berwang, you learn in a playful way more about the local flora and fauna. Here, the little eagle Horsti teaches important things about treating nature respectfully. Numerous play stations such as a wooden bell game, Horsti’s flight show, a wooden marble run, quiz games and many more will excite your children for the walk. At the end they also receive a small surprise.

To the mountain village Fallerschein runs a forest path suitable for strollers. The path is surrounded by impressive mountain peaks and leads to the largest mountain village in Tyrol. An absolute highlight for young and old is the Namlos suspension bridge.


Autumn in the Tyrolean Zugspitz Arena

You can still enjoy a wonderful holiday in the Tyrolean Zugspitz Arena during autumn. The temperature is mild, nature sways in stunning autumn colours, and the walking trails are quiet. Take a relaxed walk to places such as Seebensee, Tuftl Alm, or Rotlechschlucht. The best autumn walks can be found here. These are all places where you can experience the region at its best in complete peace. Or hop on a mountain bike and cross the autumn landscape over a rolling bike path or challenging trail. If you are in Lermoos, a walk to Tuftalm is highly recommended. Along the way you have a wonderful view over the Wetterstein massif with the Zugspitze and the Mieminger Range.

Seebensee is one of the most popular mountain lakes in the Tyrolean Zugspitz Arena. You can walk wonderfully here. Start at the mountain station of the Ehrwalder Almbahn and walk towards Seebenalm. The reddish trees reflect in the blue water. We couldn't make it more autumnal.

Colourful autumn landscapes, interactive tasks, and exciting puzzles make every journey an unforgettable experience. Autumn offers ideal conditions for cyclists: pleasant temperatures, lively autumn colours, and fewer visitors on the trails. The Tyrolean Zugspitz Arena turns into a paradise for cyclists who want to combine nature and adventure. Whether it's quiet paths or challenging trails, the autumn landscape offers an unforgettable cycling experience for all levels.

Want to relax? Head to the wellness or take a long walk in a cozy mountain hut, where autumn specialties such as pumpkin, game, and mushrooms are on the menu.

Wrap up your stay with a visit to a traditional autumn festival, such as the Almabtrieb when the cows decorated on the mountain return, or the Schafschoad when the sheep are sheared. The atmosphere, music, and Tyrolean specialties make attending such an autumn festival an unforgettable holiday experience.
