Summer in Berwang
In spring, autumn and summer it is delightful to enjoy in Berwang and surroundings. The beautiful nature, flower meadows, crystal‑clear mountain lakes, waterfalls and imposing mountain peaks. The cable cars of Berwang - the Berwanger Sonnalmbahn and the Almkopfbahn Bichlbach - take you in summer to beautiful viewpoints, such as the Hochalm, a wonderful area for hikers, cyclists and paragliders. From here you can continue walking to the Almkopf and enjoy a beautiful view of the Zugspitze massif and the Lechtaler Alps.
Family Holiday
Berwang is the ideal starting point for a variety of family‑friendly summer activities. Walking trails and experience trails (naturerlibnissweg Mitteregg). Or a digital experience walk. In Bichlbach you can do fun activities at the sport and leisure park such as climbing, flying fox, children's rafting and mini golf.
And from Berwang with the mountain roller down for a beautiful ride along streams and waterfalls.
The steps are ready for you at the valley stations of the Almkopfbahn in Bichlbach and the Sonnalmbahn in Berwang. The lift takes you up the mountain and then you start! Take a beautiful ride for young and old down the mountain path with the step. Small children can ride with you on the tandem step.

Bärenbad swimming pool Berwang
Berwang has its own outdoor pool with a lawn in the middle of the forest with a mini golf, inflatable, playground, volleyball and football field, tennis courts and a kiosk, the Bärenbad Berwang! If you stay at Chalet Zur Rose you have free access to the pool with your guest card. Along the pool there is also a beautiful playground for children that is freely accessible.

Sledding, Mountaincarts and Monsterrollers
In Biberwier you can experience a number of fun sports activities with the whole family. A 7.5 km long descent with a mountaincart or monsterroller. Or sledding on the longest summer sledging track in Tirol.
Hiking
Around Berwang, embedded in a sunny valley between the Lechtaler Alps, you discover all kinds of hiking paths. Paths suitable for a stroller, paths to beautiful viewpoints, adventurous circuit walks, family hiking routes and spectacular mountain trails, ensure that hiking in the Alps becomes an experience! A nice walk is the Rotlechkloof, which is only a short walk from Chalet Zur Rose. From the viewpoint platform you can admire the Rotlech waterfall.
Or how about the Thaneller, 2,341 meters above sea level? High above Heiterwang the Thaneller towers with a beautiful view over Berwang and the sparkling turquoise water of the Heiterwangersee. The Thaneller can be climbed as a hike or trail run for mountain sport enthusiasts!
Also visit Almdorp Fallerschein. With more than 40 rustic mountain huts, it is the largest mountain village in Tirol.
The Tiroler Zugspitz Arena is rightly an extremely popular region among hikers, climbers and mountaineers. Overcoming the famous Zugspitze at 2,962 meters is the highest feeling for many mountain lovers.
Cycling
In the Tiroler Zugspitz Arena you await a paradise for cyclists, where an impressive selection of routes for every taste is suitable. Berwang, Ehrwald, Lermoos and Biberwier offer the greatest variety of routes, but the whole region enchants with picturesque gravel bike rides and cycling paths, as well as challenging MTB routes. In Berwang at Sportalm it is possible to rent bikes and equipment. Recommendations are Um den Daniel and Zugspitze 8.
Lakes
We are also surrounded by beautiful lakes, the most famous is the Heiterwangersee. Here you find everything. Beach, boat trips, boat hire, fishing, stand‑up paddling and of course swimming and bathing in the turquoise water with a fantastic panorama. But also the Plansee, Blindsee, Mittersee and Weissensee are worth a visit. And don't forget the breathtaking mountain lakes Seebensee and Drachensee.

Golfing
Golfers among you can go to Ehrwald (9 holes) or to one of the other courses in the immediate vicinity.
Other highlights
the 'Highline 179 with 406 meters length and 115 meters height until recently the longest suspension bridge in the world. Who dares?
The Burgenwelt Ehrenberg with 4 castles and fortresses from the 14th to the 18th century. For history lovers but also for children interesting because of the knight museum and the treasure hunters' scavenger hunt.
Just a half‑hour drive away is Schloss Neuschwanstein. Chosen as the most beautiful castle in the world. On which Walt Disney based his castle of Sleeping Beauty.
The Partnachkloof and the Höllentalklamm are wonderful for walking. Check in advance if they are open.
In the immediate surroundings of Berwang, the towns Füssen, Kempten and Garmisch Partenkirchen are worth a visit.
